Since Rothman is now closed who are we to contact if we need to file a claim through the warranty plan that we purchased. The furniture that we purchased is not peeling and tearing.

This makes no sense for furniture to crack and split when you sat on it. Was told it was leather. I want it replaced and one of the recliners never worked. I think we were scammed being seniors.

Suppose to be top notch leather, but took my money. Lies, lies, lies. I think they were running scams on this furniture that we bought 3 yrs ago on a 5 yr warranty. What is going on? I called the CO and they acted disinterested. I need to file a suite because this makes no sense. I might be old but not crazy. Are you part of the BBB?

Cozzia 629 - the nightmare

I bought the cozzia 629 massage chair from Rothman Furniture store 0n 11/8/2017. The chair did not work properly up set up in my home. Once the 300lb chair was set up (in my house) Rothman assumed no other responsibility and claimed I should contact the manufacturer. Cozzia authorized 4 repairs within less than 5 months and finally had Rothman offer me the used demo model from the store's floor. They considered this a solution to the problem and considered they had done all they could and seemingly "all" that they are going to do. The 1 year warranty that Rothman is suppose to honor (according to sales' ticket) will expire in 6 days. The extended warranty that the manufacturer claims to provide has never been provided altho I have asked several times. Even "if" a warranty does exist what good is it if the chair doesn't work almost 100% of the time. A chair that seemingly won't be repaired and won't be replaced with a working one. The chair has not worked now since 5/5/2017. Rothman has announced it is closing all of its stores but to continue doing business it filed for a new fictious name on 10/4/2017. I filed in small claims' court in August 2017 however due to mistakes by this court paper work was filed improperly AND finally not sent at all. In October I finally received a court date for the middle of November 2017 but---- what will happen "if" the seller is no longer doing business (under original petitioned name) AND the manufacturer is "literally" hanging up OR allowing my calls to go to their voice mail? AND not responding to emails sent to them? Meanwhile my creditor is wanting their payments. After doing due diligence before buying my question still remain---- where is the protection for consumers when businesses continue to "do business as usual" which often mean protection and/or loop holes for them that allows them to leave us "holding the bag"?

My problem is with Rothman ---not Mattress Firm . Cozzia ( the Manufacturer) is also a major player in this massage chair nightmare.

They are distributing their products throughout the country in various stores. Unsuspecting customers are being duped into thinking they have a wonderful product with a good warranty. I bought from a 90 year old local store and I actually believe that Rothnan sales' person when he told me that they would "stand behind" theur sale to me. Don't believe it---- when the chair failed right away I went the store and Malcolm simply shrugged and said there was nothing he could do.

His exact words were "I have a boss too." Well, I tried to get a conference with CEO Jay Steinbeck but he was not to be available. The store claim to have resolution procedure but it was never made available. Every time I called customer care they acted as if they were not aware of the situation. Every time I had to explain that I had bought the chair from them it never worked and still doesn't.

Resolution thru the store and manufacturer has not worked. Litigation thru small

court is now my next option

Lifetime guaranty up in 7 years.

We purchased a sofa recliner 7 years ago, brand Franklin. THE CABLES WORE OUT TO THE RECLINER. They sent someone out to replace them, because I wanted to replace the sofa. We have had to replace them 6 times since then, with no help. Now they have broke again, but they said a "Lifetime warranty in IL. is only for 7 years. The stuffing has left the foot area, so that it's very uncomfortable. The leather kit they sent with the sofa had to be applied when it was delivered, I did this so not to void the warranty. The couch never stayed clean ,no matter what I tried. Never trust a sale mans claims no matter how nice he is! I will never go in a Rothman store again.

Rothman Furniture in O'Fallon Illinois is TERRIBLE

My fiancee and I bought a new sectional, ottoman, and tv stand from Rothman during their Memorial Day Sale. They told us the items would be available for pickup the Saturday that we had a trailer available and were moving. Saturday came, and the furniture we purchased was still in the O'Fallon Missouri warehouse, it hadn't even been shipped like they told us it had. We had to rent the trailer again because Rothman told us that even though it was their mistake, they would not give us free shipping. The next week, we picked up the furniture and took it home only to find several holes in the side of the leather sectional. Right away I called and ordered a new one. The guy said that it would be ready for pickup the next Tuesday. When my fiancee dropped off the damaged couch and picked up the new one, they had ordered the wrong part of the couch. So we had to make ANOTHER trip there because they still would not give us free shipping when again it was their mistake. I work in the customer service industry and find there lack of caring absolutely unacceptable. I will never shop with them again and plan on making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
